Business & Investment Conference, Frankfurt Rep.: Shabbir A. Khokhar (PTV-News), Consulate General of Pakistan, Frankfurt Germany organised a Business and Investment Conference on Pakistan on 23rd February 2016, in collaboration with HypoVereinsbank and Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Frankfurt. The conference was held at the premises of HypoVereinsbank.
Ambassador Mr. Jauhar Saleem, in his keynote address, briefed the German businessmen and investors about the importance of Pakistan as a 200 million plus consumer market, its ideal business location in the neighbourhood of China, Iran, Middle East and India, its improved security situation following the success of military operations and the healthy pace at which its economy was growing. He said that these were enough reasons to look at Pakistan as a very promising trade and investment partner. He observed that today, Pakistan was back on the map of attractive investment destinations, especially following the signing of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor and flow of US$ 45 billion investments into the country. The Ambassador also touched upon the positive contribution GSP Plus status had made in further improving business and investment scene in Pakistan. While briefing the German businessmen about the most liberal investment regime introduced by the government, he urged them to explore Pakistan as their next investment destination and capitalise on the immense opportunities awaiting them over there.,
